In Finland, all vehicles used in traffic must be insured with a mandatory motor liability insurance. For extra security, complement the mandatory motor liability insurance with extra security with a Basic or Standard policy.

One time compensation personal injury significantly increases the protection provided by statutory motor liability insurance. We pay a lump sum if the person has suffered a physical injury or has died in a road accident as a driver or passenger of a vehicle. However, passengers who pay for safety, such as bus or taxi passengers, are not compensated for the security. The amount of the lump sum depends on the severity of the injury. We tow your vehicle to the repair shop if the journey is interrupted as a result of a fault, damage or derailment of the vehicle. Safety for professional drivers. The driver of the insured vehicle and his/her spouse are entitled to crisis assistance if the driver has been involved in a serious road accident involving personal injury or has been the victim of a robbery, attempted robbery or assault. If the car has to be redeemed, the insurance compensation is better than the current market price normally paid. We increase the compensation by 30% on top of the current market price or pay the price of a new car. The price of a new car can be obtained if the car has been purchased from a branded store in Finland, the first registration of the car has taken up to one year in the event of damage, the car has been divided by a maximum of 200,000 kilometres and the estimated repair costs are more than 50% of the new value of the whole car. Otherwise, the compensation shall be increased by a maximum of 30 %. The maximum price of a new similar car at the time of the accident is paid.
